Radioactive

So here I am again, about to make some lame excuse for why I haven't blogged in so long...
Only this time I'll actually tell the truth.

I just don't want to blog.
I have nothing to say.

However... tonight, as tired as I am, I feel that I should give at least an overview of the past little while.

December:
We had no groups at all in December... A few potentials, but they canceled out last minute.
It was pretty hard to keep our focus... to remember that we are here to serve God, no matter what that means.

I started to really get into Ice climbing. Rock is still better by far, but ice is a good winter alternative. It uses completely different muscles then rock climbing does, so it creates a good, new challenge to push through. Josh and Andrew came out for a few days before Christmas and I got to teach them how to ice climb... it was a blast.

Over Christmas I took 2 weeks off to go home. It was a really, really nice time. Nothing too crazy (except for a hike Rebekah and I went on... but I'll tell about that later.), so for the most part it felt relaxing, or at least that I was away from camp. After Christmas we (the family) went to Kelowna for a day, for our annual Goossen/Geddert Christmas get together. It was a riot. Everyone just kinds of builds off each other until it's like a mass of practical jokes, laughing hysterically, and ridiculous games. After that energizing visit we headed out to Vernon, to Fairhaven. Fairhaven is basically a retreat center for burnt out pastors and such, but they let us stay for a few days as a family. The property has a real sense of peace over it, so it was refreshing to just be there. Tim surprised me by coming a day early... in fact I had already gone to bed (to make the time pass a little faster :P ) All of a sudden all the lights are on and people are pulling at my blankets... it was ridiculous. It was such a huge blessing to have Tim there with my whole family. We had some really good times.

To be continued...
